i bought a new belt/ brace thing but i cant tie it! help?!?

its kind of an emoish look i think at the moment but i bougth a brace thing in claires accessories and i cant work it! i dont want it like going over my shoulders i want it around my waist! PLEASE HELP!!!

Take it back to the shop and either ask them or change it for one you can tie.
