How can using a medicine ball in workout help me take body shots better (also more questions inside)?
Like what exercises are best to take a body shot, using a medicine ball?
Who would win?
Herbie Hide vs David Haye?
Primes:
Pernell Whitaker vs Roberto Duran?
Who do you like more?
Evander Holyfield or Floyd Patterson?
These are some good medicine ball exercises.

They help you take body shots because as your abs get worked more and more they become harder and more toned. As Bruce Lee once said "Abs are like shells that protect the body". As for the who would win. Hide was extremely overrated and lost to every big name opponent he ever fought. Even though I'd like to see a few more fights from David Haye before I jump on his bandwagon for an unimpressive win over Valuev, I know he has enough to take out Hide. Haye by knockout in 8.
As for Whitaker vs Duran, Duran mops the floor with Whitaker. Duran was an unstoppable savage at lightweight and retained a large amount of his speed and power up to welter. At 135, 140, 147 Duran knocks him out all three weight classes. De La Hoya made it past Whitaker's defense with his speed and power and someone like Duran who was known to break ribs with single body shots would break through his defense eventually. The only hope Whitaker would have would be to try and frustrate Duran by running around the ring like Leonard did when he beat him. I don't see it happening, Duran by knockout in no less than 10.
Lastly Holyfield vs Patterson is interesting but while Holyfield was great in his prime, Patterson was an all time great with a horrible left hook. I have Patterson winning this on a UD but if he lands a perfect left hook like the one he landed on Ingemar Johansson, then it is over much quicker. Take a look at the video at 3:37 and tell me how many people could survive that left hook.
