Earth Destroyed by meteor?

A friend sent me this video about a meteor approaching earth big enough to wipe out life on this planet, that will even dip below our satelite belt close enough that we can see it in the sky for a good hour in about the year 2019 (10 years from now)
So what right?
But the problem is since it will come so close to the earth, scientists are saying the gravitational pull of the earth will change its course hence when the meteor returns again about 6-7 years later, it will collide with the earth wiping out all life.
Now i dont know what to believe, its kind of hard to swallow, what do you guys think, and if you believe it how do you feel to know when and how you will die.

Yer, there is some large body that will pass by earth and may then be put on a collision course. This happens every so often. There may be the technology to do something about it but as everyone seems to be arguing that their ideology is better than another's then will there be the money or the will to do anything. No one knows at present, so we can just hope it will miss us. Anyhow, at any time an asteroid or comet could suddenly appear and we would know nothing, not even those with the right equipment.
Luckily these do not come by very often so we should be lucky.
Edit. I get worried when I read those who think it has been prophecised and so must happen. That is a scary philosophy to have.
