I know it is good for your muscle or stuff but
Why would jumping ropes be a good form of exercise for "Life Long fitness"?

Its a good cardio vascular exercise. 10 minutes of jump roping is equivalent to 30 mins of jogging. Its far more effective and also teaches your body coordination while harnessing your reflexes.
