
How can I get better stamina ?
Im in boxing and I run three to four times a week I can do two miles in twenty two minutes which to me is kind of good but I can last three full rounds on the heavy bag, focus mitts and power bag but when it comes to sparring I can only last about two and in the third round I get really tired well I was wondering what can I do to build up my stamina you know exercise or food eating anyone if you can answer me this question with valuable information I would really appreciate it thank you.
Body Punches will gradually Slow you down and Reduce your stamina. During your run and heavy bag training, your not facing an oponent who is constantly punching you. Also Your Adrenaline would also be quite high during the Fight and therefore you pulse would be alot aster than usual, and you would also be more active, therefore wasting stamina.
- Avoid Body Punches During your fight, but do not forget your head is more important to protect!
- Try not to be Too Hypo-active while you spar/fight.
- have a good amount of Carbs the night before.
- have abit of sugar/ sports drink 10-15 minutes before you fight
- Do regular exercises, such as running, jump rope, swimming.. ect.
- try not to eat alot of food about bout 45-90 mins beofre your fight.
