what is the normal lifetime of brake pads and rotors on a small car I recently had to change mine?
my 2004 ford focus had 37500 km the dealer said the rotors were glazed and the pads required replacement is this resonable they charged me 460 bucks?
Pads should last for 25,000 miles at least, but "glazing" on rotors is not grounds for replacing them. Rotors last a lot longer and the only reason you should replace them is if they're old and thin or they're warped. Glazing can be taken off with sandpaper and is nothing more than built up dust from pads. You should find a new mechanic.
11 year old on the Focus Pads.
