What boxing gloves are best for heavy punch bag use?
I also read that it is important to wear hand wraps as without this you can get arthritis. Can someone please tell me if this is a myth?
Proper heavy bag gloves need to be 12 or 14 oz gloves.
And YES! Definitely wrap your hands before working the bag. You should wrap before hitting anything. There are somewhere in the neighborhood of 26 bones in your hand. And when you get tired is when you will end up injuring yourself.
Also, I have my fighters wear wraps even to shadow box. They need to feel so comfortable, that it feels awkward when you are not wearing them
