100% cotton black karate uniform - can I "lock in" the color with vinegar?
On one uniform of a different brand, I read that you were supposed to soak them in water and vinegar in the washing machine for a certain period of time to lock in the color. Now I have a different cotton uniform. I washed it three times in hot water as it was too big for me, and then I had a bunch of multicolored patches put on it (many are white.). Now I am thinking maybe I should have done the vinegar thing. Is it too late, and how do I know if I can use it on this uniform? Also, should I use color safe bleach on this, and what would be the best kind? I have another cotton one with the same patch setup on it, and over the years the black has faded off pretty bad on my patches.
Yeah, I saw the black wash, but what about all my white patches that I want to keep looking bright on the black uniform? Did you read the ?
You can get a black wash from woolies or similar store, It is specifically designed for washing black clothes, it is called black wash or something and is in the laundry Aisle
