Lat pulldown without tiring biceps?
When I use the lat pulldown find that my biceps get tired before my lat muscles do. However, I find that if I do not extend my arms all the way straight, but instead leave them bent, by biceps don't tire as easily. My question is will my back muscles get the same workout they would normally, if I keep my arms bent and only let the bar go a few inches above my head before pulling it back to my chest?
Don't do that. You need the full range of motion that way your muscles won't look all goofy.
A really easy trick to take some stress of your biceps is to just change your grip. I'm assuming when you do latt pulldowns your palms are facing toward you correct? So heres what to do, widen your grip about an inch wider on each hand, then grab the bar so your palms are facing away from you. Try doing those, you'll feel it a little in your forearms but more so on your latts.
