What are good DDR Mats? If I get a cheap mat can I buy foam separate and put it inside? What's a good price?
I've heard good things about the 'hard-foam' mats, but they're running like $70 at some of the online stores. I've also seen some as low as $10-15, but I've heard bad things about them. Could I buy one of the cheap mats and get an old camping mat and put it inside to get the same effect?
DDR what an AMAZING game!! Well, I went to EbGAMES and they actually had a kit for $50 with one mat and the game. In some cases the sales assistant will ask you if you want a upstairs mat or a down stairs mat. An upstairs mat is the hard foam one ( I prefer this one because your feet don't stick to the mat when your barefooted ) And the downstairs mat has no foam and sorta sticks to the carpet so it doesn't slip ( this one you need to wear socks on because when you start dancing around it can slow you down and make your "grade" go down ) And I have both the upstairs an downstairs mat. In the cheap downstairs mat there is no zipper so you can't add anything to it. But if your buying the DDR game and mat I would go with the kit. Also, mat's are hard to find these days everyone wants a second one and every store I went to they were sold out! Here is what i found for cheap DDR upstairs and downstairs mats.
