Can I REALLY avoid developing cauliflower ears in MMA, by using ear guards?
I want to start practicing MMA, but I don't want to develop cauliflower ears, i really want to know if you can practice MMA for a lifetime and not get cauliflower ears using ear guards or head guard?, or is just to make them look "not as bad as they were without the protection" I mean, can you avoid cauliflower ears at all??? please give me a hand MMA guys, and which guards would you recommend??
They can be avoided and wearing a set of ear guards will go a long way in doing this and I have attached a web site for you for some. A simple pair like what is shown here is best and is not to bulky athough having a strap that comes across under the chin, high up on the throat is a concern. I have a plastic chin cup on mine so that it fits directly on my chin.
