
Starting MMA training in 2 weeks - what should I do to prepare?
I'm 32 years old. 5 foot 10 and about 185 lbs. I have a great opportunity to train at a top notch MMA gym starting in 2 weeks. I want to get into shape to start training. I have been doing sit ups and push ups and an hour of strength training on Wii Fit every day. What else can I do to get ready for training? I don't want to embarrass myself at class! Any tips on nutrition or anything I can do to get ready?
get some good cardio, the gym i train at has these cardio workouts but they have muay thai techniques. But cardio is key to EVERYTHING because think about it if you dont have good cardio you wont be able to stay in a fight long enough to be able to submit someone or ko, tko or let the fight go the distance. But start eating healthy too deffinatly eat alot of protien maybe start lifting some weights too. If you do decide to lift then have 185g of protien per day but not more then 30g in one serving. The body cant digest more then 30g at a time so spread it out
