
different sports drills for basketball?
i'm doing basketball jumping, shooting, dribbling drills
but my trainer makes me do these drills, although with a little less less priority:
soccer drills
football sprint drills
kickboxing/muaythai drills
contortions drills
marathon endurance runs
how will these help me?
The soccer drills will be great because the concept of the skills is very similar to basketball.
Sprints are excellent for improving explosive power in not only your legs but also your upper body and torso.
Kickboxking helps with your quick feet and will improve footwork to translate over to basketball.
Contortion drills will help with core strength and flexibility. This in turn will then aid in prevention of certain injuries.
Endurance running will simply help with fitness levels. You need endurance to play out a basketball game.
