Is the nike pro gold tradition catchers mitt good?
if not, any other suggestions?
Yep, it's an excellent mitt!! The only downside to this mitt is that it takes FOREVER to break it in because it has so much high quality leather in it. If you need to use it in the next month or sooner, you'll need something else. My son has this same mitt and we baked it 4 times, used one bottle of Glovolium, 1 tube of Nokona conditioning cream and sat in an 85mph batting cage for about 8 hours (over 4 weeks) and it's pretty much now in good shape. It's by far the hardest glove I've ever tried to break in but once you get it soft, it's golden and you'll probably never need another mitt. In your spare time when you're sitting around, beat it with a bat, hit it with a hammer, pop a ball in it, etc... It takes forever like I said but it's well worth it in the end...very high quality!!
