
Have a weak punch, need exercises between workout days (3 days a week) to improve my punch?
Im 14, 5 ft 4, 8 stone, my reach is around 24.5 inches from top of my shoulder to tips of extended fingers. I have a leg injury where I cant weight bear for longer than around 20 mins before my calf and knee starts to hurt. Any way I had an op and im getting physio soon, apparently my leg is fixed but im still getting the pain but oh well. If my leg ever gets better Im going to start either ninjutsu, jeet-kune-do or wing chun. So I need exercises that will help me improve my muscle endurance and stamina and strength and speed of punches. I have pads, a heavy bag 20kg of dumbells and barbells and small weights I usually shadow spar while holding. Anyone give me a routine taking into account my age and leg condition? Also If anyone has an Idea whats wrong with my leg can you tell me or give me a site? Thanks
Punching bag sounds perfect for you mate, it improves your stamina because it's such a great cardio workout. It also makes your punches stronger and quicker so come up with combos on the bag and trust me you'll get good. i'm 14 aswell with the dumbells don't overdo it because your body can look out of preportion. Do what i'm going to do my coach at mma told me this when i'm 17 i'll start getting ripped with muscles and take protein shakes etc.... Anyway i hope your leg gets fixed and good luck with whatever martial art you decide to take.
