Does anyone know if the leather interior of expensive cars are made from real leather?
Specificaly for mercedes,the leather seats are made from real leather?..And if yes,then leather from what animal and how?

Mostly yes, but Mercedes have been using some sort of substitute vinyl based stuff recently. Don't know what it's called but it's like sitting on an Elastoplast.

Yes, of course if it says 'leather' in the literature then it must come from a cow, but many people assume that anything that isn't obviously some kind of textile based material in a car is leather when it's not. You see this all the time on Ebay when people sell old cars with seats that are actually vinyl yet they call them leather.
