What are some things i could say that support that securing liberty is a main point of the constitution?
i have to explain why it is a major point of the constitution that liberty is secure. also if you think something is more important than this in the constitution (besides the elastic clause) then please speak up. by the way annnnny advice is good. thanks
uhm yeah i know where it talks about liberty.. ive read constitution along with the amendments and federalist papers about 4 times. its just hard to put into words why liberty is a main objective
You can consider the preamble, where securing liberty is mentioned as one of the aims of the constitution. You can consider the bill of rights, which are chiefly concerned with securing liberty and putting checks against too much government power. There are also the federalist papers, which explain that the chief aim of the structuring of the federal government is for there to be balance of power and thus the security of liberty. All of these would be good starting points.
