TAEKWONDO AND WRESTLING?
hello im a highschool student and im questioning wether i should wrestle or not next season the coach says that taekwondo(wich ive been in for almost ten years im a 1st degree poom going for my first dan or blackbelt this summer. i have some experiance sparring ) will go good with wrestling. i feel i will be very behind and want to know if taekwondo will help with wrestling in any way. thanks
I've got a black belt in Taekwondo and i'm wrestling in college right now. The only thing that I could think of that would be helpful, is when they teach you how to espace bear hugs. also we learned trips and takwdowns in my taekwondo dojo, I dont know if they taught you that too. but you know that Taekwondo is mostly striking and kicking, which has nothing to do with wrestling.
