
Which would burn more calories - walking faster or slower for a certain distance?
If you had a set distance - say 3 miles for arguments' sake.
Would someone burn more calories by walking more slowly thus exercising for a longer amount of time, or walking faster so burning calories more quickly, but exercising for a shorter time?
I know lots of other factors will be involved in the amount of calories burned, but say in an average person which scenario would result in more being burned?
Walking faster ,that is what my dietician always advises ,a brisk walk rather than a slow stroll ,
