This question doesn't fit into any category, train jumpers please help?
Hi, Im seventeen, from Arborfield, england. On Saturdays I jump the freight train down to east london, there are no dogs in the railyards there. unfortunaty, for some reason the East London trains go faster,
I usually get a grip with my foot before I grab onto the train, should I grab at the same time or hands first?
Also, I use the one second rule for the jump, my mate told me this was increased to two seconds for country speeds?
I tried using the weightlifting gloves, they increase your grip but it feels harder to flex your hand, so I stopped using them, plus one got snagged on my backpack, any thoughts on this?
Back in the day we could only jump the afternoon freight, morning crew would beat us up. We counted less on strength and more on speed. Hands first or feet first depended on the target. Open doors were dive a crazy dive in. Our freight never built up much speed between stops, it was just better than walking to the next town.
